![]() There’s just so much jankiness present that I really can’t recommend it on any level. To call these ports rough would be an understatement. But if you’d only played this Definitive Edition, you’d never guess any of that. They not only helped define an era of gameplay, but also inspired countless other game series while expanding the scope of what was possible within their own titles. These three pillars of open-world, sandbox gameplay are considered to be some of the greatest video games of all time. While the GTA Trilogy doesn’t try to add anything new in terms of content like the Star Wars rereleases did, it does try to slap a fresh coat of paint on Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice CIty, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Not sure what happened to Tommy Vercetti's face here, but he's looking paler than usual. This truth of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” is brutally on display in Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition. Things that are timeless are so for a reason and trying to modernize them or change them is just a pointless exercise in futility. The fact of the matter is, classics don’t really need an update. We didn’t need Jabba in A New Hope, or a new musical number in the Hutt’s palace in Jedi, nor did we need a force ghost Hayden Christensen in any shape or form. Grand Theft Auto 5 is out now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.A little over two decades ago George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, thought it would be a great idea if he updated the original trilogy by giving it a bit of a facelift and adding in a few things here and there that no one had really asked for. ![]() It'll be a while before GTA 6 releases, but at least, in the meantime, cops can keep entertaining players. Their need to shoot on sight for even the smallest of offenses adds a sense levity that Grand Theft Auto's single-player mode needs. Regardless, with Grand Theft Auto 6 rumors and speculation circulating nowadays, this seems like a good time to hope that the cops will be just as dedicated to their work in that game as they are in this one. Considering the bike Franklin was riding on before being tragically unseated by a flying car, Why_You_Hatin was probably playing Grand Theft Auto 5's Repossession mission. However, the death screen does show that Why_You_Hatin failed a mission, so that could explain why he was hunted so vigorously. Despite only having two stars to their name, the cops were chasing them down with some evident enthusiasm. Still, what exactly Why_You_Hatin did to earn such a death remains a mystery. GTA5 cops are notorious for being hilariously aggressive, so Why_You_ Hatin's death can be considered just another day on the job for them. The miracle comes to an end rather quickly, however, when the cop driving the car simply steps out and pumps a shotgun blast into the side of Franklin's head. The impact causes him to wipe out and smash into the hood of the patrol unit, something he miraculously survives. It crashes in front of Franklin, but not before dropping its back wheel on top of his head. As Franklin's speed takes him airborne down the road, the kind of situation he's in becomes apparent as a sudden cop car goes flying over his head. ![]() Once he crests the hump, things start to get pretty wild. The video is appropriately titled "Stop Resisting!" and it starts with Franklin speeding through the neighborhood and approaching a hill. RELATED: New Rockstar Games Art Fuels Grand Theft Auto 6 Time Period Speculation The video features a high-speed chase involving Franklin, and as one can probably guess, it doesn't end very well for him. This passion is perfectly summed up in a new clip posted to Reddit by user Why_U_Hatin. If it can lead to the player's "arrest," they will happily drive themselves off of cliffs or stare down the wrong end of the barrel of a tank. The cops in Grand Theft Auto 5 have always been dedicated to their jobs.
